| World Cup Open Call
"Many Homes. One Team." reflects the spirit of Safelight Berlin. Our team comes from 12 different countries, but photography brought us together. It's a celebration of community, connection, and the idea that home can exist in more than one place.
To celebrate the adidas + Safelight Berlin collaboration, we're inviting our community to document the spirit of the World Cup on film.
The prize: a limited-edition adidas + Safelight Berlin jersey. Not for sale. Available exclusively to the winners of this open call.
How It Works
1. Claim Your Camera
Register through our website and receive a free customized Safelight Smile Camera. Cameras are available for pickup in Berlin or shipping from June 16.
2. Shoot Your World Cup
From June 16 to July 10, use your camera to document your World Cup experience on film. Capture the matches, the emotions, the celebrations, the streets, the people, and everything in between.
3. Develop Your Film
Bring your camera to Safelight Berlin by July 10 for film development. If you're outside Berlin, you may use a lab of your choice and get us your images by the July 12.
4. Jury Selection
The Safelight team will review all submissions and select the winning photographs.
5. Exhibition & Prizes
The top winning photographs will be exhibited on World Cup Final Day at Team Sport Base adidas Berlin on July 19th.
Prizes
Each winner will receive the limited-edition adidas + Safelight Berlin jersey. The jersey is not available for purchase and can only be obtained through this open call.
Additional prizes from Safelight Berlin, Long Weekend, and Polaroid will also be awarded.
Timeline
From June 16: Camera Pick Up & Shipping
July 10: Camera developing deadline. Cameras that arrive after this date will not be entered into the contest. If you use another lab we need the images by July 12th.
July 19 – World Cup Final Day: Winners announced and photographs showcased at Sport Base adidas Berlin, Schleusenufer 4, 10997 Berlin

Limited to the first 100 participants — one camera per person, first come, first serve.
Photos will be used exclusively in connection with this event. Selected winning images may be featured on Safelight Berlin's and adidas' social media channels and related event communications.
All photographers retain full copyright and ownership of their images. By submitting a photograph, participants grant Safelight Berlin and adidas a non-exclusive right to use the selected images for the promotion and documentation of this project. Ownership remains with the photographer at all times.
