Refuge Worldwide x Safelight: A City in Transition
A few weeks ago we teamed up with Refuge Worldwide for a day built around our open call "A City In Transition," and it turned into one of our favorite nights of the year.
The Radio Show
We kicked things off with a Safelight radio show hosted by Richard Akingbehin, starting the afternoon with a banger selection of music, and some discussion on Safelight and the competition. The Open Call
We asked up-and-coming photographers to submit up to 5 images, shot on anything, capturing their take on how Berlin's urban spaces are changing. The response was huge, and the selected work, a mix of exhibition prints and projections, filled the space at Refuge for the night.
The Workshop
Our friend Quyny hosted a Polaroid Emulsion Lift workshop, and it was packed. Way more people showed up than had signed up, which made for one of the best moments of the day.
The Winners
Winners were announced on the night, with prizes from EDWIN, Polaroid, CineStill, Refuge, and us.
